Privacy
Last updated 6 October 2026
Short version: no account, no cookies, no ads, and visits are only counted, never tracked. What you do here stays in your own browser, and your recordings never leave your device.

When you open a page
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA. To deliver pages and keep the site safe, Vercel’s servers briefly log technical data of each request: your IP address, the time, the page and your browser. We don’t combine this with anything and don’t use it to identify you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Fonts, scores and sounds come from this site itself, not from other companies’ servers.
Counting visits
We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, so we know which pieces people open and where visitors come from. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Each view records the page, the referring site, country and region, browser, operating system and device type. A visit is recognised for at most 24 hours by a hash of the request, then forgotten; we only see totals and can’t tell who you are. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Stored in your browser only
The site keeps a few things in your browser’s storage. None of it is sent to us.
- Your playing time per day, for “This week” in Practice.
- Small settings, such as whether the player controls are folded and whether you have seen the play-along tip.
- Your takes from Stage, if you save them.
These are needed for features you use, so they are not cookies for tracking. Delete takes with their Delete button, or everything at once by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Microphone
Stage asks for your microphone only after you press “Start the take”, and only records while the take runs. The recording is mixed with the backing inside your browser and is never uploaded.
When you write to us
If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you, and delete them when they are no longer needed. The mailbox is hosted by Google. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Your rights
You can ask what we know about you, and have it corrected, deleted or restricted, and object to its use (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Write to feedback@wesyncopate.com. You can also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at).
